Equipment
My photography equipment supports a wide range of subjects and styles.
After previously using the Canon EOS 90D, I now shoot with the Canon EOS R7 and a selection of Canon lenses that allow me to adapt to different conditions while continuing to develop my skills.

Lens Hoods
A lens hood helps keep stray light from hitting the front of your lens, which reduces flare and keeps contrast strong in your photos. It also acts as a small barrier of protection — if you bump the lens against something, the hood usually takes the hit instead of the glass. It’s a simple accessory that keeps your images cleaner and your lens safer.
SD Cards
The best memory cards for the Canon EOS R7 are fast UHS-11 V60 or V90 SD cards like the SanDisk Extreme Pro, Lexar Professional, or ProGrade Digital options, which deliver the sustained write speeds needed for 30fps bursts and high-bitrate 4K video.
Filters
CPL, Variable ND
I use high-quality CPL and ND filters which help reduce reflections, control light and enhance colours, allowing for sharper images and more creative control in challenging lighting conditions.
Tripods
I use sturdy tripods with both a ball head and fluid head which provides stabilty and flexability, allowing for precise composition and smooth, controlled movement when capturing stills or video.
Gimbal
The Zhiyun Weebill S provides smooth, stable footage, reducing camera shake and allowing for more controlled, professional-looking video and creative movement.
Camera bag
I use a Manfrotto camera bag, which keeps equipment safe, organised and easily accessible, it allows me to focus on capturing images without worrying about gear.
Clothing
Dressing appropriately for the environment is essential for comfort and discretion. I wear neutral, muted colours like greens and browns, along with a practical weatherproof fishing jacket, to blend into natural settings while staying comfortable and prepared for changing conditions.
